Remington Arms National Match Op Rod. The handle is stamped with 7790772 RA. ( NM on the Handle) This op rod has a Piston measuring .526 and a Lug measuring .092 or better. Dark gray finish is at about 95% and is in very good to excellent condition. These are file photos and a good representation of the one you will receive.

A Little History:

The National Match Op Rods were produced in 1961 and 1962 by Remington Arms and The Springfield Armory for the National Matches. So many were produced they eventually found their way into the rebuild system . The main trait of the National Match OP Rod was a verified .526 piston and the bends were tighter more accurate placing it closer to the receiver and bottom of the barrel. This was thought to produce less vibration and more consistent operation which translates in to accuracy. These are good op rods for your shooter as well as your accuracy builds. Some SA produced National Match Op rods were stamped on the top rear of the handle with NM, some were not. All National Match Op rods produced by Remington Arms were stamped NM.
