Description
We have had quite a few requests from you who are building Tankers for the Tanker Op Rod and Gas Cylinder only. We are proud to offer this kit which consists of the same Tanker Op Rod we normally offer and a matching Gas Cylinder. We hone a worn Cylinder oversize until it it is perfectly round and cylindrical, then we machine a 17-4 Stainless Piston to match the bore size. The result is a "As New Gas System!!" With this method we are able to offer you a Tanker Op Rod and Gas Cylinder for a better price than our competitor wants for the Tanker Op Rod alone!! Like our other Tanker Op Rods these will only fit the Tanker Barrels made by Criterion or Citadel. The Gas Cylinder maybe a Narrow Base or Wide, it will have about 50% plus of it's finish left. The Op Rod will be of any manufacture(Probably SA) and any revision. We rebuild them with a new Lug of .095 or better and a New Piston, then we reparkerize them dark charcoal gray. Will work on .308 or 30-06. This is a very nice set at a great price!
Footnote: We realize many of you are building custom Tankers or have found an older Tanker that needs a new Op Rod. We have started offering to build custom Tanker Op Rods. We will need certain info pertaining to your Rifle to be able to build you a Precision Op Rod. Email us at
